Summer Was Fun, the side project of Scott Stanley aka DotEXE, has released his debut EP WestboundWestbound includes 5 tracks: “Westbound”, “My New Addiction”, “uHurt, iHeal”, “Internet Rule No. 19”, and “Sine Language.” Although “My New Addiction” and “Sine Language” are my two favorites, the entirety of the EP features some unbelievable genre-bending that honestly sounds like the future of electronic music. I had no expectations when I stumbled upon Westbound, but after finishing it all I could think was holy shit. Stanley started producing music as Summer Was Fun back in the summer of 2013, and I really hope he doesn’t ever stop. Westbound is currently available for purchase on iTunes, and you can also download each track individually for free off of Summer Was Fun’s Soundcloud.
