From Leende to Los Angeles… Last Friday LA based radio station ‘Power106 LA’ premiered the latest song performed by Chris Brown called; “Nobody’s Perfect”. Produced by Lukas Hilbert and co-produced by Dutch brothers Wouter & Sjoerd Janssen A.K.A Showtek.
Since Chris Brown’s announcement last week the Showtek headquarters has been going crazy with people from all over the world congratulating the guys and showing them support. Who would of thought that two brothers from Leende would connect a small Dutch town with the rest of the world?
The last twelve months has been a very busy period for Showtek and has seen them have their biggest summer to date! 2012 has seen them collaborate with Tiesto on ‘Hell Yeah,’ work alongside Hardwell to produce the summer hit ‘How We Do’ and more recently partner up with Justin Prime to record and release ‘Cannonball’ – all of which went straight into the Beatport Top 10.
Earning support from the like of David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Afrojack – just to name a few! They have stayed passionate and humble about their success as Wouter describes: “Throughout the years we accepted the crazy fact that the harder dance genre we were working in didn’t want any innovation to take place. If you tried something new people were asking “why don’t you do the same as that particular track from 2006″. Ridiculously enough that track was produced by ourselves years ago?! So with our deep passion for music, we looked ourselves straight into the eyes and promised each other that from now on we will start to follow our hearts, nevertheless what people will say or do, we are our own judges and in control of our own choices what to do with our music! And crazy enough, the result is this track with Chris Brown.”
