PHILADELPHIA FUTURE BASS
The debut 12-inch EP from 21 year-old Philadelphia producer Jack Deezl is finally available on mixed-colored vinyl from Actual Records. This 6-track glimpse into the musical psyche of Drew Mercadante [aka Jack Deezl] was composed in his West Philly bedroom over the course of the last 15 months, and is a genre-defying blend of moody pulsating electro and expertley arranged future bass blips and snippets.
Featuring vocal bits, vinyl rips and live manipulated production, Jack Deezl’s sound has set him apart from the pack of up-and-coming young EDM producers and this beautifully-pressed record is the perfect showcase of the melodies and intricacies that make up the mind of Jack Deezl.
This is a derivative work which samples guitar and bass parts from “A Spoonful of Slurry” and “The Werewolf and Ben” off of the album Drugs To The Dear Youth by Tera Melos. You can buy the album (you should, it’s really good) here: http://teramelos.bandcamp.com/album/drugs-complex
